Dr. Allison Lacey
(PT, DPT, COMT, OCS, TDN)
I grew up playing sports and while I was fortunate enough to never need physical therapy, I was always interested in the injuries and what the next steps would be to get back to playing. I was always fascinated with the whole process and eventually realized Physical Therapy was a profession. I began working as a PT tech my freshman year of college and began working towards becoming a PT from there.
My favorite part of Physical Therapy is when someone is able to do something they were previously unable to do or
had to avoid due to pain, etc. I love the challenge of determining the cause of a symptom, using an individual approach for
each rehabilitation plan, and getting someone back to their prior level of function.
I take an individual approach to all patient treatments. Using functional movement assessment,
manual therapy, and specific patient goals, I create a rehabilitation plan specific for each patient
and their goals. I am an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy,
Certified Dry Needling Therapist, and ImPact Concussion certified.
The bond between a physical therapist and a patient gets me excited to go to work everyday! I love the reward and excitement of the improvements made while in physical therapy. I love when someone is able to do something
they were previously unable to do – returning to an activity or a sport, and when they gain the
independence and knowledge to help themselves moving forward.
